Playful Placemaking for Urban Inclusivity
Thirteen years of city centre playfulness.
We love shifting perceptions of what’s possible right in the heart of the busiest commercial districts; creating space for children as artists, designers, and makers of their own future. Children as full participants in their cities especially in the places where they hold the least formal power.
Recently, we’ve collaborated with the University of Leeds Architecture and Urbanism Research Group as their delivery partner, building on our work with Leeds City Council and community networks to develop and shape #PlaySufficiency across neighbourhoods in the city.
Our ambition for Leeds and for any town or city centre; is to nurture embedded, participatory practice. A way for all citizens to have a meaningful place in shaping more joyful, creative, and welcoming spaces year round. Not just by design, but by building a culture that values and enables play.
If we can imagine it — together, we can make it.
