About Pippa Hale

Who are you Pippa Hale?

I have a multi disciplinary practice, I like making playful, site specific artworks, that respond to places and people. Rooting artworks to places, is important because it’s respectful, it has a depth of meaning and relevance to local people. This can take the form of anything, from foam shapes to neon signs to giant inflatables to sonic top and whips.

I’m currently working with Playful Anywhere on a public Art commission in Cambridge, and also the Railway Museum in York on a very exciting permanent exhibit, both of which you’ll see more of in 2023

What would you like to do more?

Floating about in the clouds so you get a birds eye perspective on places

What or who is currently giving you joy?

Reading a book by Betty Edwards about drawing. She believes Drawing is an equally vital skill to that of reading. Check it out ‘Drawing on the right side of the brain’
